Dear Community, 

Starting Monday October 9th we are temporarily closing our Carlisle location.

This has been an extremely challenging time for me, my family and the staff of Michael Thomas Coffee. I opened this shop on Oct, 4th 2004. I have invested a large chunk of my life here. My daughters who still work with me have many fond and transformative memories attached to this shop. My youngest son, who just started working at the shop this summer, slept in a bassinet next to the roaster as a baby. I know there are many customers who also have fond and vivid memories attached to this shop.  I love this shop and even temporarily closing it causes me great pain. We are currently unable to staff it and are contracting in an attempt to stop and rectify the turn over. I want to thank the community who have supported us and hope to have your continuing support at our 202 Bryn Mawr location. This has been a very difficult  and extremely emotional decision that I have come to with a heavy heart and clear mind. We are seeing this as temporary and believe we will be back open as soon as possible. I want to express my gratitude to all who have taken part in the Carlisle shop throughout the 19 years of operation. We look forward to many more .
